Royal marine seminar during VOR

The City of Stockholm hosted a unique environmental seminar for specially invited guests, with H.M King Carl XVI Gustav attending. The seminar focused on the exploitation of the marine environment and its ecosystem.

Craig Venter, entrepreneur and genetics researcher and Professor Birgitta Bergman, Botanic Institution were invited speakers. Torkel Elgh, President Wallenius Water gave a presentation of the water sampling project being conducted during the race and its preliminary result.
