TV4 highlights the problem with uncleaned ballast water
Early in the morning on June 22, Torkel Elgh, President Wallenius Water, was interviewed on national TV4 regarding the problem with uncleaned ballast water and the water sampling project Wallenius Water conducted together with WWL onboard the Volvo Ocean Race-boats.
He made it very clear for the viewers that uncleaned ballast water is a huge problem and that politicians need to take their responsibility and ratify the UN convention presented already in 2004. The convention states that all ballast water need to be cleaned before it is released from the vessels.
