Two pioneering purification techniques - a Swedish advanced oxidation technology and a German self cleaning particle filter - are for the first time put together in a single product. The product purifies water without using chemicals and protects against unwanted particles, chemical substances and harmful microorganisms. The companies behind the product already see a large demand and are now launching the product on a global scale.
The ecological water purification product combines two patented methods to purify water, a high quality self-cleaning particle filter, and an advanced oxidation technology, Wallenius AOT, a combination of photochemical and photocatalytic principles. The process copies nature’s way of purifying, using free radicals that effectively break down organic and inorganic substances as well as bacteria, viruses and mould. The product has three functions, functions that until now have only been available if buying several products. It purifies water regardless of whether the problem is particulate, chemical or biological.

The cooperation between the two companies is solid, thanks to their innovative history together as core components in another pioneering product, PureBallast, the first chemical free ballast water treatment system approved by the IMO. PureBallast is jointly developed by Wallenius Water and Alfa Laval and sold by Alfa Laval.
