Coolants are one of the areas within the metalworking industry that affect employee health the most. Bacteria, mould and damp thrive in coolants and the most common method of resolving the problem is to add biocides. It is now possible to reduce the number of bacteria in coolants without the use of chemicals – a move that will benefit both the working environment and the economy.

In 2014, more stringent legislation is expected to come into force, which will restrict the use of biocides that are hazardous to health and the environment. |

Biocide-free, cost-effective treatment of coolants
