Concerned about Legionella?

With Wallenius AOT, dealing with Legionella is no longer a problem. Wallenius AOT has been tested at the Vitens laboratories in the Netherlands and meets the new regulations on Legionella in drinking water, BRL K14010 1/01, established by the Dutch quality assurance agency KIWA.

Drinking water, or tap water, is the hot and cold water from taps at home and work, in hospitals, hotels and so forth. However, the purity of tap water is not just a matter of course. In water systems where biofilm forms, microorganisms including amoebas, parasites and harmful bacteria, such as Legionella, are able to thrive and multiply.

The risk of infection is greatest in showers, Jacuzzis, cooling towers and similar facilities that spread water aerosols. Water aerosols are tiny drops of water that are so small and light that they can spread several kilometres. These water droplets can contain Legionella bacteria. When people breathe, drawing these aerosols into their lungs, the Legionella bacteria are able to gain a foothold, causing legionnaire’s disease. They can also cause Pontiac fever. One way of impeding the spread of Legionella is to integrate Wallenius AOT in the system. Wallenius AOT is available for both fixed and mobile installations.
